Private Household Recruitment
Placing exceptional housekeepers within distinguished London homes.
Halcyon Household is a specialist agency placing housekeepers in private households across London and internationally, together with selected maternity nurses, nannies and governesses. Every search is conducted with discretion, and every candidate we introduce has been assessed in depth against your household’s requirements.
What We Do
A search conducted with singular purpose and absolute discretion.
Halcyon Household was founded to support households that demand the most and accept nothing less. We take on each search with care, allowing it the time, attention, and judgement it deserves.
Every placement is overseen personally by our founders or a senior member of the Halcyon team, from the initial briefing through to settling-in and beyond. We present a curated shortlist of three to five candidates, each assessed in depth, each matched carefully to the household, its principals, and its needs. Where a household maintains more than one residence, the same oversight can extend across them as one coordinated instruction.
This is not volume recruitment. It is specialist work, done properly.

Precision placement · Always personal
01
Private Housekeeper
Our founding discipline and the heart of everything we do. We place exceptional housekeepers within London’s most distinguished private residences: individuals of genuine experience, impeccable professionalism, and absolute discretion, matched precisely to the household, its principals, and the rhythm of the home.

02
Maternity Nurse
A specialism we have built deliberately. We know the maternity nurses we introduce: experienced practitioners, many with decades of service in London and internationally, who bring clinical knowledge and a calm, steady presence through the earliest and most delicate weeks. Each is vetted to the same standard as every Halcyon introduction, with qualifications verified and references taken directly.

03
Nanny & Governess
For families who want more than childcare. The nannies and governesses we introduce bring structure to a household’s days, judgement in a parent’s absence, and a genuine interest in how a child develops. We know the people we put forward, and we introduce only those whose character and credentials we are fully confident in.

How It Works
The Halcyon Method
01
Consultation
Every search begins with a direct conversation with our founders or a senior member of the Halcyon team. We take the time to understand your household: not just the role, but the environment, the principal’s expectations, and the standard of professionalism required. Nothing is assumed. Everything is considered.
02
Search
We draw on a carefully developed candidate network and conduct targeted, discreet outreach to identify experienced housekeepers suited to your household. Every search is thorough, focused, and guided by your household’s specific requirements.
03
Presentation
We present a curated shortlist of three to five candidates. Each has been interviewed, assessed, and reference-checked in depth. Each comes with a clear personal recommendation and full supporting detail, so your decision is informed, confident, and straightforward.
04
Placement
Our involvement does not end at the offer. We support both household and candidate through onboarding and the settling-in period, remaining available to both parties for as long as it helps. A placement made well is a relationship built to last. We stand behind every one we make.
"
Every search we accept carries our personal reputation. We do not take that responsibility lightly. We give each one the care, judgement, and time it deserves — because doing this properly admits no shortcuts. When we present a candidate to you, it is because we believe in that person completely.
