About Halcyon Household
A specialist agency. Placing exceptional housekeepers within London’s most distinguished private residences.
There are households where standards are absolute, where discretion is expected, and where the quality of every hire is non-negotiable. Halcyon Household exists for those households.
We are a London-based specialist recruitment agency placing exceptional housekeepers within London’s most distinguished private residences. Housekeeper recruitment is our core discipline, and the foundation of everything we do.
Who We Are
01
Specialist. Founder-led. Singular in focus.
Halcyon Household was founded by two specialists who understood that London’s private household market deserved something it rarely received: an agency with genuine expertise in a single discipline, operating to the same standard it expects of the candidates it places.
Every search is overseen personally by our founders: one leading on client relationships, the other on candidate representation and assessment, supported by senior members of the Halcyon team. Your search stays with the people who took your brief, from the first conversation through to placement.
Our focus is deliberate. Housekeeper recruitment is our core specialism: the discipline in which we have built the depth of knowledge, the candidate network, and the placement methodology that define Halcyon Household.
Why Specialist Focus Matters
02
Depth over breadth. Always.
Most domestic staffing agencies recruit across a wide range of household roles. That is how the market has long been structured. Specialist focus produces something different: a candidate network known personally rather than catalogued; a sharper feel for what exceptional housekeeping actually demands; and shortlists shaped by judgement rather than breadth.
We have built our entire practice around one category. We understand the specific demands placed on housekeepers within London’s finest private residences: the standards, the discretion, the adaptability, the professional experience required to operate within a principal’s home at the highest level.
That depth of specialisation is why we recognise the right person quickly, and why we are confident when we put a name forward. It means our shortlists are curated rather than compiled. And it means our placements hold.
Our Difference
03
Precision over volume.
We are built around precision, not volume. Rather than broad longlists, we present a curated shortlist of three to five candidates, each assessed in depth, each matched carefully to the specific household, its principals, and its needs.
Our vetting process is multi-layered and thorough. References are verified directly. Working history is explored in depth. Suitability is assessed not only for the role, but for the household, its principals, and the environment the candidate will be entering.
We also maintain a carefully developed network of experienced housekeepers who trust Halcyon Household to approach every introduction with discretion, care, and judgement.
The result is a placement process that is quieter, more considered, and more reliable, because every part of it has been built for this purpose and this purpose alone.
Trust & Discretion
04
Your household. Your privacy. Our absolute priority.
The households we work with operate in a world where privacy is not a preference. It is a prerequisite. Every engagement with Halcyon Household is handled with complete discretion, from the initial conversation through to placement and beyond.
You will always speak directly with a founder or a senior member of the Halcyon team. Your household’s requirements remain within our practice and are never passed to a third party. Candidate details and client information are managed with the same standard of care we expect the candidates themselves to bring to your home.
Our introductions come through trusted relationships with estate managers, private assistants, and principals who understand the standard we hold ourselves to. We value that trust, and we protect it.
